This is the great Prema Dham in Kali-yuga and is especially meant to give Krishna-prema (which is the ultimate goal of Life). It was manifested through the desire of the Lord only to meet this purpose. The most merciful Supreme Lord Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, who is otherwise known as Prema Purushottama, is also personally present here, in the form of His staff, to reward the most rare and precious gem of Krishna-prema into the hearts of millions of sincere devotees.

At the present moment we have 20 very simple and committed full time devotees who are residing here and trying to perfect their lives. They all have sacrificed their lives for this higher cause of serving the mission of Sri Sri Guru and Gauranga.

The asrama is presently running well by the mercy of Lord Caitanya, in spite of its financial crisis. Due to this the devotees are being obliged to live austere lives and as a result, the purity of the asrama is well maintained. The maintenance of purity in the asrama is itself the primary objective and priority of the entire asrama management. There can and will be no compromise of any kind made over this matter.

Haribolo!

The asrama is spread over six acres of land, which also includes a part of the land on the other side of the river Bhargavi. Both these lands are accessible by means of boat. Normally on the other side there are crops being cultivated and the lands are being ploughed with the help of bullocks. There is a small goshala here with a total number of 13 cows.

There are also three beautiful Tulasi gardens meant only for the service of Their Supreme Lordships. All these cultivations and gardens are being maintained by the devotees themselves. The sacred river Bhargavi herself serves as the source of free water supply to the entire asrama.

The asrama also has its own restaurant that is just a 10-minute walk away. It is situated in the town of Chandanpur, along the National Highway to Sri Jagannath Puri. The restaurant is, at present, serving as a financial support to this asrama.

This great lila pith (pastime site) has a very natural serene environment, surrounded by many old trees that prove to be very conducive for the practice of spiritual life. As well as being situated within the Pancha Krosha (Atma Mandala or soul) of Sri Jagannath Puri Dham, it is also a meeting place of 2 very sacred rivers. The scriptures mention that a place where 2 or more rivers meet is by nature very favorable for the practice of devotional life. Therefore, all these suitable conditions are surely meant to help the sincere seeker of Krsna-bhakti to advance on the path of devotion.
